Business Development Manager

Overview:

  • BORN Thinking is a small but expanding, well-established digital marketing and tech company based in Chichester, West Sussex. We are well known in our niche for the work we have carried out for some top brands in the financial services, telecoms and legal spaces.
  • This role will be crucial in the sales process by building relationships with new clients in the legal and financial services sectors and understanding customer’s needs.
  • This role is working in partnership with the Board to target new business via face-to-face meetings, conference calls, industry events etc
  • The ideal candidate would have a proven track of selling SEO, web marketing, ecommerce and/or a range of technical web solutions into the professional services sector.

 

Key Duties:

  • Introducing our industry leading SEO solutions, creative and web development services
  • Working with the creative team to develop targeted campaigns to potential new clients
  • Develop new prospect lists
  • Following-up marketing campaigns to qualify leads
  • Identifying key decision makers
  • Building rapport with key decision makers
  • Obtaining commitment for face-to-face meetings
  • Ensuring appointments are relevant and meet quality standards
  • Attending face-to-face appointments
  • Assist with the writing of proposals and any additional follow-up information
  • Progressively closing on new business sales and opportunities to form a pipeline of new work for the agency

Junior Web Developer

This position offers the chance to join a small specialist Digital Marketing and Technology Company to develop performance websites, web applications and mobile applications for business.

 

Our clients are based in the UK and in several locations across Europe. We specialise in legal and financial services, tech and telecoms.

 

We work in the most competitive environments using the very latest technologies to create the best possible user experience in web applications.

 

Much of what we do is innovative and so the technologies used are often new. For this reason, we provide our technical staff the time and space to learn these new technologies and skills, so that all our finished projects are of the highest standard, robust and functionally perfect. However, we do expect our technical team to take it upon themselves to develop new coding and technical skills in their own time for use in the workplace, especially those in junior roles.

  • Meeting with the designer, marketing manager, IT manager, directors and other team members to establish new and ongoing projects and initiatives
  • Working in a close-knit creative partnership with the designer, marketing manager, other web developers, directors to generate workable concepts and ideas
  • Assist the company’s search engine optimisation (SEO) efforts
  • Develop ideas/concepts alongside other technical team members
  • Working on several projects at once, under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Keeping up to date with new trends, technologies and the latest best practice techniques
  • Reviewing competitor activity, industry forums and databanks to keep abreast of developments and initiatives
  • As a member of the technical team, to contribute to the overall strategic planning of projects
  • Support project documentation and administrative tasks

Graphic Designer

The role involves creating outstanding and compelling design solutions for BORN clients that contain high visual impact.

 

It is important to demonstrate the ability to listen to clients and to internal briefs given by other team members or the account manager or by the creative director and understand their needs before making design decisions.

 

Your designs may be required for a variety of projects and activities, such as websites, advertising, exhibitions and displays, corporate communications and corporate identity and in relation to the development or visualization of a brand.

 

You will usually work to a brief agreed with the client, creative director or account manager. You should have the ability to develop creative ideas and concepts, choosing the appropriate media and style to meet the objectives of the project.

 

You will have a high level of appreciation of what constitutes a good user experience on a website or mobile application and be readily able to identify problems with poor navigation or a badly conceived user experience. In doing so you will have the ability to suggest ideas and solutions to overcome such problems.

 

The work demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines. 

 

The role includes the following:

Online Copywriter

BORN is a vibrant and well established creative & digital marketing agency based in the centre of Chichester. Job Description

 

Due to recent expansion, we now require a creative Online Copywriter with a good imagination and dazzling writing skills to become a part of our effervescent and highly successful team.

 

You will be writing website copy for a variety of different audiences, using your creative abilities to produce fresh and compelling work.

 

An ability to turn out high volumes of copy on a daily basis is vital, as is the talent to write in various styles and tones; including for our exacting clients in the financial services and legal/law firm sectors.

 

You will be required to carry out detailed research into unfamiliar and sometimes complex subjects in order to produce authoritative content for end users.

 

We’re looking for someone who can think ‘outside the box’, who can grasp a concept quickly and who has the confidence and initiative to speak up with their own ideas.

 

Skills Range:

 

  • Excellent English and spotless grammar are a must and some previous writing experience, preferably of the online variety, is desirable.
  • An understanding of the internet and a proficiency with computers is essential, while knowledge of SEO techniques would be a distinct advantage.
